Words Fail Me by Patricia T. O’Conner Summary: Words Fail Me by Patricia T. O'Conner is a book more for those who are aspiring to become authors. It has good advice and going through the entire "typical" writing process; from coming up with the idea, writing the piece, the revisions and the final product, as well as everything in between. Opinion: I suggest buying your own copy, if you ever read a "writing book" (as I call them), so you can highlight and write all over it. Now some of you will think I'm mad because I write and highlight books. Deal with it. For me, anything that could be considered reference should be able to be marked on. I did enjoy this book.
Help! I’m a Prisoner in the Library! By Eth Clifford Summary: On their way to stay with an aunt, two little girls find themselves stuck inside a library after hours. They try to amuse themselves and keep from freaking out, but once a horrendous snow storm knocks out the power and phone lines, they lose their nerve. Opinion: This book was probably on a second grade level. Easy vocabulary and short chapters. It’s a nice beginner’s book. Cute story. I would recommend it to a Children’s Section of any library.
Superior Saturday by Garth Nix Book Six of the Keys to the Kingdom series Summary: When we last left Lord Arthur, he had made it back to the Secondary Realms to help Leaf keep Lady Friday from experiencing any more human emotions. But before he can fix the mess she made, he has to rush back to the House. Vast amounts of Nothing have broken through barriers and completely destroy the Far Reaches and the Lower House. Now Arthur and Suze must become Grease Monkeys to infiltrate Superior Saturday’s realm to find Part Six of the Will and gain possession of the Sixth Key. Opinion: All in all, not much happened in this book. I would have been happy with the last two chapters to be quite honest. Read it because it’s part of the series, but I’m not behind it whole-heartedly. I’m ready for Lord Sunday, so I can find out the ending to the plot. PS: If anyone has any information on the release of Lord Sunday, please let me know!
